Also articles on foot orthotic's use and function, boot fit, natural foot function and ski reviews. We want to explain the science we use to help you ski better.

The staff at Lou's Skiing Performance Centre is dedicated to helping you ski better. To us that means with much less effort to control your skis and maintain balance. We accomplish our goals by starting with the best equipment available (Head, Stöckli, Scott, POC, Garmont, Tecnica, Dalbello, Zipfit, Holmenkol, Hestra), some unique to Lou's in all of Canada then modifying the standard factory setup of binding position, binding delta angle, boot fit, boot ramp angle, forward lean, cuff alignment and more until we have a setup that works for your unique requirements of anatomy, injury and movement patterns. We guarantee we will make your skiing easier, more enjoyable and that any equipment purchased from Lou's will ski better than the same equipment purchased anywhere else.

Unfortunately for skiers, most ski shops

are interchangeable. Really they are

trained to function as pure retail outlets

with only the simple and straightforward

goal of selling you equipment. You can

shop anywhere and leave with exactly

the same equipment set up exactly the

same way but none of the standards

were established for you. At Lou's we are biomechanists that have conducted research for Atomic and Nordica on binding position. We are invited members of the Epic Ski forum "Ask the Boot Fitters". We are coaches, Canadian National Ski Team members and have researched human adaptation and foot orthotics for graduate degrees. We bring this training in ski technique and science to every meeting with you.

Because we have skied them all, we will expertly help you to purchase the best skis from our wall. We will offer you diverse choices in setup and gear that simply don't exist in other shops. We will work with balancers and digital pressure mats to determine your natural alignment and to adjust your equipment to function with you rather than forcing you to function with your equipment.

We are a POC protection store and inventory large amounts of tuning gear from Holmenkol, Snoli, SKS, Sun Valley Ski Tools and more. We run tuning seminars and really are here to, in any way possible, help you get more enjoyment from the sport we love. Call, write, email or just stop in for answers to your questions.
